Handling subscription checkout from within an app page?

We’re building an app page with UI extensions that shows our plan tiers. When a user selects a plan, we want them to complete payment without leaving HubSpot — ideally the checkout opens in a modal over the app page, and closes back to it once payment completes. Plan status is held on our own backend.

We’re still deciding on the implementation, so before we commit:

  1. Has anyone shipped an in-app plan selection and checkout flow in a listed app? What approach did you take?
  2. Are there known constraints on the modal — sizing, styling, or closing it programmatically after the user finishes?
