Hello, we plan to utilize HubSpot’s SEO tool. We’ve developed a pillar page focused on the topic “MITRE ATT&CK.” We have written over 100 blog posts related to this topic. For instance, under the subtopic “Active Directory,” we have 7 different blog posts. Should we assign a unique subtopic to each blog post, or can we categorize all 7 posts under the same “Active Directory” subtopic?

It is generally beneficial to categorize related blog posts under the same subtopic when they share a common theme. For example, if you have 7 blog posts about “Active Directory,” grouping them under the same “Active Directory” subtopic makes sense. This approach helps in creating a coherent structure that search engines and users can easily navigate.

Yes, you are right, but I can only add one blog under each subtopic. The method you mentioned seems to be the most appropriate. However, I couldn’t find how to add multiple blogs under a single subtopic, or if it is even possible.
For example, I can add one blog under the “Active Directory” subtopic. Then, I can recreate the same subtopic and add another related blog. I have attached a screenshot of what I have done. However, it doesn’t seem correct to me right now :))
Hi @BMargi happy to help with a little guidance for how to use the topic cluster and subtopics.
The idea is not that you would have a keyword like “Active Directory” and be able to associate multiple articles to the same subtopic - or to create duplicates in the way you’ve shown, instead the subtopics would be unique keywords, specifically long-tail keywords that will connect back, so your subtopic would be “Golden Ticket Attack” and the article title would contain that keyword (as you have it now). By having this keyword attached as a subtopic, you’re telling Google it’s related to MITRE ATT&CK. Based on how you have this structured now, I would split this into two topic clusters:
1 - MITRE ATT&CK
2 - Active Directory
and then change your subtopic keywords to correspond with each of the articles for both accordingly.
