Growth Specialist Role
Second Mile is looking for an ambitious, relationship‑driven Hybrid Growth Strategist who will split their time 50 % on net‑new sales and 50 % on client account management & light project oversight. You’ll hunt for new opportunities, close deals, and then stay involved to make sure projects launch smoothly and clients are delighted.
Primary Goals
- Generate revenue through net‑new and existing client engagements
- Manage and grow client relationships to drive repeat work, upsells, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
① Strategic Sales Execution (~50 %)
- Prospect via LinkedIn, partnerships, events, and warm referrals.
- Own discovery calls, proposals, quoting, and closing (85‑day avg. cycle).
- Maintain a clean, documented pipeline in HubSpot; hit/exceed monthly & quarterly targets.
- Represent Second Mile at industry conferences (e.g., Fiber Connect) and networking events.
- Ensure a smooth hand‑off from sales to project launch.
② Account Management & Project Oversight (~50 %)
- Serve as the main point of contact for 3‑5 active clients.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and internal resources (designers, HubSpot specialists, etc.).
- Run kickoff and checkpoint meetings; provide proactive status updates.
- Identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities within 90 days of project completion.
- Track client satisfaction (CSAT) and retention metrics; resolve issues swiftly.
- Document lessons learned and feed them back into process improvements.
③ Company Growth & Process Improvement
- Stay current on HubSpot product updates and RevOps best practices.
- Bring creative growth ideas, spot gaps, and help refine playbooks.
- Contribute thought‑leadership content or case studies when bandwidth allows (light‑touch).
Required Experience & Skills
- 3 + years in a B2B sales, account management, or agency role.
- Proven quota attainment and successful client‑facing project delivery.
- Familiarity with HubSpot (certifications are required) or similar CRM/automation tools.
- Strong communicator, organized in ClickUp/Slack/Google, thrives in remote teams.
- Alignment with Second Mile’s core values & 4‑day workweek ethos.
Compensation
- Base Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 based on experience
- Commission incentives will factor heavily into this role’s compensation
