# Grid View Tab Functionality

If in Grid view of an object and you’re updating multiple fields, it would be great if you tab to the next field or another field you could immediately start filling in that field and updating the Property. For example, we have on our Contact object, First and Last name. If I fill in the First name and tab over to Last, it won’t allow me to just start filling in that field. I have to actually mouse click the field in order to enter the update. It’s just not an efficient use of updating information requiring additional steps to update records.
