Grain and the New "Recorded Meetings No Longer Create Duplicate Call Records" Update

Hi everyone,

I saw that there is a new update coming (currently in beta) called "Recorded Meetings No Longer Create Duplicate Call Records. " It specifically mentions meetings recorded with the Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams integrations.

My organization uses Grain to record & take notes of our meetings; these are pushed into HubSpot into a duplicate meeting record as well.

Does anyone know if the new update will clean this up for Grain meetings, too, or is it just for Zoom, Meet, and Teams?

Hey @Jenny26 great question and glad you’re keeping an eye on the product updates! :waving_hand:

Based on the beta update description, it looks like the fix is specifically scoped to the native Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams integrations for now — so it likely won’t automatically resolve the duplicate records coming from Grain.

Since Grain pushes data into HubSpot via its own integration, that would probably need to be addressed on Grain’s side or through a separate HubSpot update down the line.

A couple of suggestions in the meantime:

  • It may be worth reaching out to Grain’s support team directly to flag this — they may already be aware or working on a similar fix
  • You could also submit this as a feature request on the HubSpot Ideas Forum so the product team has visibility into the demand for broader integration coverage

Hopefully someone else in the community has run into this with Grain specifically and can share a workaround — would love to hear if anyone has found a clean solution! :raising_hands:
