Google vs Microsoft - which has the better HubSpot integration?

I would like to know if Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace are equally integrated with HubSpot or if there’s a clear winner. I heard from a HubSpot support rep that Microsoft integrations typically have a longer development time..

From my experience, the Google Workspace integration is the winner. Overall the functionality is similar, here’s why I’d go with Google:

  • Releases/updates/enhancements seemed to be released here first and faster.
  • 365 users (from our experience) have more difficulty in getting connected and staying connected
  • 365 users tend to run into more bugs with the connections that we almost never see on the Google side

If an organization is already fully engrained into the 365 space, the advantages aren’t enough to make a move to Google for that reason alone, but if a small organization is still comparing the two or already considering a shift, this would go on the pros list.

Gathered some key differences to keep in mind.

Google Workspace usually offers a smoother and easier way to integrate with HubSpot. Things like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive connect easily, and it doesn’t take long to set up. That’s mainly because Google’s tools are simpler and user-friendly. On the flip side, Microsoft 365 also works well. You can sync Outlook, use Teams, and connect Outlook Calendar. But it usually takes more time and effort to get everything set up right. Microsoft’s tools can be a bit trickier because they often need extra tools for certain features. So, getting started with Microsoft may come with some bumps along the way.

If your team already uses Microsoft a lot and you don’t mind spending some extra time on setup, it can work great. But if you want something simpler and faster, Google Workspace is probably the way to go. In the end, it really depends on what tools your team is already using and how much time you can put into the setup. Google is easier, while Microsoft offers more options but takes longer to get going.
