# Google Sheets to HubSpot API Failure

When trying to connect Google Sheets to HubSpot we get the error message “3rd-party API failure”.  
How can this be resolved?

I’ve attached a screenshot of the issue.

@HVellam - I just checked my own Sheets intergation. It is showing no API errors of the kind you display. Have you ensured that you have given the right shared access to the Sheets document?

Hi Steve,

I have installed the Google Sheets app in the HubSpot marketplace.

How would you go about giving the right shared access to the sheet? I cannot select any sheet from the dropdown options on the left bar in Workflows.

I am also PLAGUED by these errors. There is no apparent reason why they happen and when -

My experience using this “freebie” has been bumpy - with different classes of reported and unreported errors. Perhaps you get what you pay for…

I’d gladly pay a fee for this app if it was more stable - perhaps it should be subject to HubSpot’s own new certification criteria 🙂

I am also experiencing this error creating a new workflow to populate form responses to a Google sheet.
