# Gmail Mailmerge emails

Hello,

We’re experiencing an issue where emails sent via mail merge in Gmail are not being recorded in our CRM. Do you have any insights into potential causes?

Hi @maddyalps!

I think this is because some Mail Merge tools send emails via API instead of Gmail’s native “Send” button, which may bypass CRM tracking. To fix this make sure to add HubSpot BCC to your mail merge campaing.  
I found [this article](https://support.yet-another-mail-merge.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005288314-Integrating-HubSpot-CRM-with-your-Gmail-email-campaigns) that explains step by step and could be super helpful - and [this hubspot article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/log-email-in-your-crm-with-the-bcc-or-forwarding-address) on BCC to log emails could be also valuable to read.

Thanks for responding, we use mailmerge feature ownedy by gmail itself. Any help please?
