# Get Contacts by Creation Date

Hello!

I want to get only the contacts of an especific date, but the API only has this service [Get All Contacts](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/contacts/get_contacts) , this take to much time, because there are many contacts created.

How can I get this in a better way?

Could you please help me?

Hi, @gmites.

While there is currently no way to filter the results of the [_Get all contacts_](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/contacts/get_contacts) endpoint by create date, here are two alternatives:

1. Use the [_Get recently created contacts_](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/contacts/get_recently_created_contacts) endpoint, which returns the most recently created contacts first.
2. [Create an active list](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/lists/create-active-or-static-lists) that contains contacts created in the desired time frame, then retrieve the contacts with the [_Get contacts in a list_](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/lists/get_list_contacts) endpoint.

Try a POST request to [https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/contacts/search](https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/contacts/search)

with a body like this
