I get it that you want to get paid customers. No problem with that.
A free trial user cannot get sufficient usage to know because the limitations are so odd and hidden. You only find them by getting way down a path in trying to do anything.
ONCE BEFORE, I said to my partner, we should just drop hubspot. I am going to finish my pilot test and see where I am at.
I am reasonably technical with alot of testing experience. **bleep**, I am so glad I ran a bunch of tests to run into all th GOTCHAs.
AI feature has gotten better but still misinforms. It tells you to do something, you do it and it reprimands you that the thing you did wont work.
DUMB
Running into unexpected limitations during is frustrating. I’ve been using HubSpot for over a decade now, and for me it’s been mostly (not always) intuitive – which shows that everyone probably experiences their HubSpot journey differently.
Resources that helped me over the years:
The knowledge base in general – paying attention to the info at the beginning of each feature’s page that specifies which subscriptions it’s limited to
HubSpot definitely can’t do it all. For me, part of HubSpot’s promise was always that it saves time through it’s platform approach and covering many features, albeit not perfectly. If you’re looking for perfection, you’ll run into those “gotchas”, yes. In that case, HubSpot is simply not the best solution for you – which it thankfully doesn’t have to be. There are plenty of alternatives.
Hi @SMS25,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Community!
We appreciate your detailed feedback. It’s clear you’ve put considerable effort into testing and exploring the platform, and I’m sorry to hear that you’ve encountered unexpected limitations and inconsistencies, especially during your pilot and when using our AI features.
We’re always striving to make HubSpot more intuitive and transparent, and feedback like yours helps highlight where we still need to improve. I understand how disappointing it must feel to be blocked by limitations or to receive unclear instructions.
If you’re open to it, I’d love to learn more about the specific challenges you encountered, either here or via direct message. Your insights can help us better address these issues and potentially clarify or adjust product behavior in the future.
Are there particular features or experiences that felt especially frustrating? Is there anything we could do to make the trial or the AI functionality more useful for you?
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and to help us improve.
