Free Email Domain Segment in HubSpot

Hi all, I really like how on the form side of things, I can block “free email domains” from submitting in favor of business addresses. This functionality is very helpful and shows that HubSpot is capable of identifying free email domains. I would like to build an exclusion segment/list of free email domains to help when I send marketing emails. Is there any easy way for me to do this, or would it only be possible by using filter email contains “@gmail.com” etc. for every single one?

Hi @alexagatiss,

This is most easily achieved by building a segment that filters for the contact property “Email domain”. Simply specify “is equal to any of” and then copy / paste this list: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/what-domains-are-blocked-when-using-the-forms-email-domains-to-block-feature?hubs_content=knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/block-form-submissions-from-specific-email-domains&hubs_content-cta=default-list-of-free-domains

Best regards

@karstenkoehler , thank you - this is great idea. The only problem is when I copy and paste them, they all paste into one and no contacts are found for that criteria.

@alexagatiss you need to click the pencil icon to the right, not paste them all as one option into the text field.

@karstenkoehler , wow - that’s a game changer. I never knew that existed. Thank you!
