Folks,

We have a number of Hubspot forms that prospects are using. No problems with getting the data into the Contacts database.

However, human nature is such that some people will enter the responses as some variation of:

- [firstname.lastname@email.com](mailto:firstname.lastname@email.com)
- [Firstname.Lastname@Email.com](mailto:Firstname.Lastname@Email.com)
- [FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME@EMAIL.COM](mailto:FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME@EMAIL.COM)
- [fIrStNaMe.LaStNaMe@EmAiL.cOm](mailto:fIrStNaMe.LaStNaMe@EmAiL.cOm)
- etc.

In an HTML form, I would run a Javascript that would reformat the data into lower or Mixed case, depending on the field.

- Do Hubspot forms have this capability baked in?
- If not, is it possible to run a script from within the form?
  - How would I find the field names or IDs?

- If not, are there plugins that will accomplish what I am looking for?

Thanks for your help!

Hi @SATXbassplayer

Unfortuanatly, nothing exists within HubSpot or the ecosystem that can automatically fix the problem you describe.

If you are using HubSpot forms on external website pages, you may be able to hack the form with a script to perform the normalisation function - in this scenario I suggest you ask over at [https://integrate.hubspot.com/](https://integrate.hubspot.com/) to see if anyone there has any suggestions.

My understanding is that while the local part of an email is capable of case-sensitivity, this is disabled in most systems - so my hope is that your deliverability would not be affected by incorrect case entry. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

Hope this helps.
