Disclaimer: I am working off the free Hubspot Marketing Hub
Hello Hubspot community,
I built a form to download an eBook along with a two-step email journey that, upon consent, sends a follow-up email to the lead who downloaded the ebook. When I test the form as a stand-alone in the Forms section of the Hub, everything works fine (i.e. the ebook opens as a PDF in a seperate browser tab and the email is sent to the lead).
However, when I integrate the form into a landing page and click the “download button” I get a 404 error page. I used one of the templates in the free version to do the landing page.
Did anyone ever encounter this issue and is there a way around it?
Thanks
M.L.
Hello @MLachapelle1,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
Could you please give us more information regarding the 404 error page after submitting the form?
- Is it a HubSpot form or an external form?
- Can you confirm if it is a popup form or an embedded form?
- Is it a HubSpot landing page or an external landing?
- How is the form submitted? Via API? Or just a usual form submission?
The more info, screenshots (without sensitive/confidential information), and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist.
If you are using an API, this maybe similar to what you are getting, in the solution from @Willson on this post “404 Issue in submit form data”.
If it is a usual form submission, I found this similar post that might help you. You can check the solution from @kvlschaefer on this post “404 on embedded form completion”.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: @Franci, @NicoleSengers and @deepikaverma do you have any suggestions to help @MLachapelle1 please?
Thanks a lot!
Have a lovely day!
Bérangère.
