Hi @DavidCrompton,

Correct, the best ‘conversion path’ would look like this:

1. Contact receives and opens the email
2. Contact clicks a text link or CTA that takes them to a landing page (which contains the form)
3. Contact fills out the form

The form could either be [embedded via HTML](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/how-can-i-share-a-hubspot-form-if-im-using-an-external-site) on an existing page. Or you would [create a new HubSpot landing page](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/cos-pages-editor/create-and-edit-pages-in-hubspot) that features the form. In any case, it would be unusual to send recipients to the plain form with the [share.hsforms.com](http://share.hsforms.com) link.

I wanted to point out that your description sounds circular: You would send an email to get people to fill out an email subscription form? If they are on your email list, then you wouldn’t have to capture their email address in a subscription form.

Best regards!
