Is it possible to change a form’s URL from the usual style? It currently looks like this [https://share.hsforms.com](https://share.hsforms.com)

When some contacts have clicked on the link they’ve felt nervous filling it out as they’ve thought it is possibly a scam as the web address doesn’t relate to my company.

Thank you

Hi @DavidCrompton

You can easily [Embed the Form](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/how-can-i-share-a-hubspot-form-if-im-using-an-external-site) into your own page on your domain.

Have fun

Mike

Hi @DavidCrompton,

The [share.hsforms.com](http://share.hsforms.com) links are direct links to your form. You could also consider them preview links.

They work great for testing but generally, it’s not considered best practice to use these standalone. Rather, you would place them on a HubSpot page (_Menu_ \> _Marketing_ \> _Website_ \> _Landing Pages_) or [embed them on a non-HubSpot page](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/how-can-i-share-a-hubspot-form-if-im-using-an-external-site). On a page, visitors will see your company branding and you can provide more context as to what they’re signing up for.

Hope this helps!

Hi Karsten,

Many thanks for the reply.

At the moment we don’t want to change or add anything to our website so would want this to be a hubspot page. Am I right in thinking that on my emails I put a CTA button (Subscribe or For more info click here). That would then take them to a Landing page and on that landing page is my Subscribe form? Or does the landing page then take contacts to the form.

I’m starting to look at creating Landing pages and the initial look suggest it would be the latter.

Any more guidance would be greatly recieved.

Kind regards

David

Hi @DavidCrompton,

Correct, the best ‘conversion path’ would look like this:

1. Contact receives and opens the email
2. Contact clicks a text link or CTA that takes them to a landing page (which contains the form)
3. Contact fills out the form

The form could either be [embedded via HTML](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/how-can-i-share-a-hubspot-form-if-im-using-an-external-site) on an existing page. Or you would [create a new HubSpot landing page](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/cos-pages-editor/create-and-edit-pages-in-hubspot) that features the form. In any case, it would be unusual to send recipients to the plain form with the [share.hsforms.com](http://share.hsforms.com) link.

I wanted to point out that your description sounds circular: You would send an email to get people to fill out an email subscription form? If they are on your email list, then you wouldn’t have to capture their email address in a subscription form.

Best regards!

Hey @karstenkoehler
I agree it is unusual to send people to a plain form with the [share.hsforms.com](http://share.hsforms.com) link, but would it not be possible to just change this preview URL of the from, if we just wanted users to register their interest in particular offering/product/promotion and not go via creating a New LP route?
