Form submissions in Slack integration

I’ve just recently connected Hubspot to my Slack account in hopes that I could automatically post notifications to a channel when we got a Hubspot form submission. Everything seems to be connected fine and I can see Hubspot in my Slack, but whenever I feel out a form submission, we are not seeing any notifications in Slack. Am I missing something?

Hey @hsr

In order to ensure that Submission notifications are being sent to Slack, have you checked on your Integrations Notifications Preferences? These can be found by going to Settings and choosing Notifications.

Within this, you’ll see an Integrations tab that will list the notifications for your Slack installation. Scroll down this list and you should see the Submission notification setting. Ensure this is ticked in order for submission notifications to be posted for you.

@Willson that worked! Those were the settings I was looking for. Thanks so much! So now I can at least get a personal notification in Slack when a form is submitted, but do you know it it’s possible to have it sent to a channel instead of just a personal DM?

Hey @hsr

Currently, we only provide the means of pushing these notifications in Slack via the HubSpot App itself which means we’re unable to isolate these notifications to a specific channel.

Whilst our integration does not provide the specific channel functionality, I took a look and can see that the Zapier integration may be able to assist with this configuration. Take a look here: Get Slack notifications for new HubSpot form submissions

Has there been any updates to the Hubspot/Slack integration in terms of being able to send form notifications to specific slack channels?

@StacyZNot sure if this will work for you, but you can fairly easily setup an email address for any slack channel. We got around this issue by having the form submit a notification to a slack channel email address.

Hi @JVaughan and thanks for sharing this workaround. How did you add the slack channel’s email address to the form recipient tab? I cannot find the way to add it and the the hubspot link you send doesn’t guide you through the steps well enough :confused:

@danaikouYou have to click Edit Form then find the tab for Options, that is where the email address can be added.
