I created a Contact Us form in the forms editor using the HubSpot WordPress plugin. The form does submit and place the contact information in my HubSpot properly. However, after submitting it, the form does not clear and retains the information in all of the form fields. What settings do I need to choose so that the form clears out all of the information?

@GPhillips90

In your HubSpot portal open the form editor for your contact form, go to the _Options_ tab, and at the very bottom turn off “_Pre-populate contact fields with known values_”.

Hi Alyssa,
As you can see from the attached screenshots, turning off “Pre-populate contact fields with known values” did not fix the problem. My contact form fields still will not clear. Please check my settings in the attached screenshot.
Any other suggestions?

@GPhillips90 I’m not seeing an screenshot attached. However, you might need to clear your cookies/cache to see the resulting resolution work. Since you’ve already filled out the form HubSpot has already added a cookie to your browser for prepopulating those fields and I don’t think turning off the option stops that cookie from working. Not sure what browser you’re using but here’s an article on [how to clear cookies/cache for most modern browsers](https://its.uiowa.edu/support/article/719). After clearing cookies, if the form is no longer populated, try filling out the form again to ensure the pre-population doesn’t occur. If the fields are still populated the only thing I can think is that your browser is autofilling the forms and not the form itself.

I followed your article on how to clear cookies/cache but that did not solve the problem.
The form was cleared, and I filled out the form again and submitted it. But then the fields did not get cleared after the submission.
What do you mean by “that your browser is auto-filling the forms and not the form itself?” I do not understand what you mean. How do I fix that?

Most browsers have on by default a form auto fill function that will fill out forms with already known data. You can see how to [turn this function off in this article](https://support.mindbodyonline.com/s/article/203260523-How-to-disable-the-form-autofill-feature-in-your-browser?language=en_US). This will only turn off that function for yourself though. Any other users that still have auto fill turned on in their browser will still get auto filled data, but there’s nothing you can do about that since it’s a browser setting and not something HubSpot is doing.

Tech Support identified the solution which is to publish any changes to a form including any changes to the forms options settings. After I published the unpublished changes to the form options settings, my form field cleared after submitting.
