“Follow-up tasks: Edit priority & reminder directly in the popup

We create a lot of follow-up tasks directly when logging activities (e.g., calls, emails, meetings). In the follow-up task popup, we currently cannot manage all important fields – especially Priority and Reminder are not visible/editable there.

Problem
Because of this, we have to open each follow-up task again after saving it, or we need to edit it via the tasks list in order to set the priority and reminder. This means many extra clicks per task and easily leads to inconsistencies (e.g., missing priorities or reminders).

Proposed solution

  • In the follow-up task popup, key fields like Priority and Reminder should be visible and editable by default.
  • Alternatively: provide a small configuration where each user/team can choose which fields are shown in the follow-up popup (e.g., enable/disable “Priority” and “Reminder”).

Benefits

  • Fewer clicks and a much faster workflow when creating follow-up tasks.
  • Higher data quality, because priorities and reminders are less likely to be forgotten.
  • Better follow-up management in sales, especially when there are many activities per day.

Example use case
When logging a phone call, we open the follow-up task popup and can immediately:

  • set the task to High priority, and
  • add a Reminder (e.g., 1 week before due date),

without having to open the task again later just to adjust these fields.
