Fix new contact associations on apps

When creating a contact on the Android app (and on the iOS I’m told), the form lacks the associations section that the online version has (and that you custom build in the online form builder).

This means that by default, when you create a contact, they’re unassociated to anything else, and you then have to find them and associate them to their company (and any custom objects).

The only workaround is going to the company record page, then associations > contacts > add new contact, but this isn’t that practical.

Why does this not just exist the same as the online version? Can we get it added?

In addition, this functionality already exists for custom objects, when you go via a standard object > associations > custom object > add > add new record.

We just need it added into the global create contact form on the app exactly the same.

Also need this to be added! Lot’s of mobile app functionality is lacking.

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that this is now possible both on iOS and Android for all objects except Contacts and Companies. We will shortly be rolling out the same feature for those two objects.

Thanks for the update, and that looks so much better for all the other objects.

Obviously, the contact and company objects are the most important to do it for, because that’s where the majority of data (particularly the critical data) is stored, so please do update this ticket when that part gets updated as well :slightly_smiling_face:
