Hi there, I often use the "Fix Formatting Issues* option, which is great to clean up the database… however, we are an English-speaking company based in Switzerland. This means that I would like to have the database in English, but we use the German/French/Italian spelling for cities (so Zürich, not Zurich, Genève, not Geneva etc.).
Every time I use “fix formatting issues” I am asked to convert these names into the English spelling, which means I have to scroll through a lot of entries I don’t want to correct, to find the ones I do.
I have used “reject”, but this doesn’t permanently reject the change, it just rejects it until the next time you use the feature.
I would like to either permanently reject the option, train the system so it knows which spelling we prefer, or use some default language feature that keeps the names of cities in the original language.
Unfortunately, HubSpot’s Fix Formatting Issues tool doesn’t currently allow for persistent rejections or custom training for specific spelling preferences. Right now, every time you run the tool, it re-evaluates the data based on its default formatting rules, which prioritize English spellings.
Alternatively, you can use custom properties & workflows instead of relying on the formatting tool, store city names in a separate custom property and use workflows to enforce your preferred spellings.
