Finding the country, when is not assigned

Hi,

I have just realised that in the contact list of my company, there are over 4K contacts without a country assigned. I look only into certain countries, therefore, for me, that field is very relevant. Is there a fast way to check which country these contacts are from? I tried filtering by email domain, for example, all the ones that end in .es (for Spain), but it threw 0 contacts, as it is not just the .es but the entire email domain. My second guess would be by country phone code (so +34), but not all contacts have a phone number. Any ideas, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @GuillermoOlguin,

Besides the options you mentioned, you could also look at the contact property “IP Country”. Another option would be enrichment: Enrich your contact and company data

No method will give you 100% data, you’ll have to use multiple puzzle pieces.

Best regards!

Thanks, that is useful

Hi Guillermo! I see you may have found a workaround, but I think I have a way you could do this all in one step if you’re open to first exporting your 4k contacts and then reuploading them into hubspot once enriched. You can use Research | FutureSearch to upload your CSV then in plain english ask the tool to determine country for each row based on email domain, company name, or whatever fields you have. It should be able to catch contacts that most ‘fuzzy’ tools miss. And then just download the updated CSV and reupload it into hubspot. Message me if you need any help!

Great thanks, will give this a try, i was able to find some of the countries, but still have a good amount to go through
