Filter for activity from a specific associated record on record timeline

Posting on behalf on a customer:
Currently specific records may have multiple contacts/companies/deals/tickets associated. Being able to filter for activities that share an association with a specific contact/company/deal/ticket would be incredibly helpful as it allows a user to sieve through all communications for the most relevant data - this will lessen time and effort required for reps and managers looking for activity associated to a primary company.

Great idea! More so, it’s a filtering functionality that would be a good option to have and use within any Deal at any time. Within a Deal, quite often there are numerous companies involved (and Contacts for that matter), and so it would be good to have the ability to filter out all the Activities relating to the non-primary companies (and not have to wade through all the Activities) without having to leave the Deal screen, or even better, have the ability to select/de-select particular companies/contacts in a filter while in the Deal screen.

I definitely support this idea. We use the Ticketing system for Support and Development requests so they are attached to our contacts and companies. It is such a frustrating experience to go into a ticket and see notes, emails, meetings, etc for the Contact/Company for all that are involved and so much has nothing to do with the ticket itself. Data is often lost and is very frustrating and time consuming trying to weed out the extra stuff just to see the ‘stuff’ associated to the ticket itself. The other ‘stuff’ needs to remain because can be very helpful to see the entire history but we need a way by default that filters out the junk.

Yes, please!

really look forward to have this basic feature!

Hi everyone,

I’m Winnie Hien, the Product Manager for HubSpot’s CRM.

Thank you for taking the time to share this idea. We genuinely read and consider everything submitted here.

After review, we don’t have plans to build this right now. We are thinking about how to better see associated records’ activities, but we have higher-priority work in flight that we need to see through first. It’s on our radar for future consideration.

That said, we revisit our roadmap regularly, and customer ideas like this one do influence what we prioritize.

Thanks,
Winnie
