Hello,
I’d like to propose an enhancement in HubSpot’s reporting capabilities by introducing a “Zoom” temporal filter. Unlike standard date-field filters (e.g., “Create Date”), this independent, dashboard-level control would let users dynamically zoom in on any reporting period—month(s), week(s), day(s), etc.—without affecting underlying date dimensions.
That way, you can leave Create Date unfiltered (to include leads created at any time) and simply set Zoom to “This Month,” “Last 7 Days,” or a custom range to see, for example, how many leads converted to SQL in that window—without huge historical tables or lost data.
For Example:
Scenario: I need to track how many leads converted to SQL this month, regardless of when the leads were created.
- Today’s State: To include leads created at any time, I must leave “Create Date” unfiltered—yielding a massive historical report. Filtering “Create Date” to this month excludes earlier leads who converted now.
- With Zoom Filter: I leave “Create Date” unfiltered and simply set the Zoom filter to “This Month.” All dashboard widgets now show conversions during the selected period, while still counting leads from any creation date.
