At the moment, HubSpot’s CRM permissions tie View and Edit access together at the same team level. So that if you want a user to have visibility of records at a parent team level, you have to grant them edit access at that level too.
For teams with hierarchies (like a regional team sitting under a national team), this creates an all or nothing problem that can get quite messy to hack around with multiple owner fields.
What I’d like (please): Let View and Edit permissions be set independently across teams so that you have an option like:
View = Parent team and below
Edit = Team only/owned only
Even better if you could define how many levels of parent team to go up to in a nested structure.
Would love to know if others have hit this and how you are getting round it…
