I am trying to create a workflow where i can send an email to someone who signs up using our HubSpot Registration Forms. We currently dont’ have anything being sent to someone who is captured in the database from filling out one of our HubSpot Registration Forms. I started the Workflow and set the trigger to be for any form submission on any page and when i go to send an email it says “Your permissions need to be changed to edit this action” under the EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION section. I looked under Permissions and it seems i have everything as far as Marketing Tools. Does anyone know the specific permission and where it is located to change this so i can send out external emails to new leads?
Hi @ESvendsen,
This error message sounds like it’s referring to this permission in the CRM tab of the permissions editor:
Could you specify what you mean with this exactly?

Best regards!
Hi @ESvendsen,
Can you confirm that you have these permissions?
(tab Marketing in permissions, in the Marketing tools section)
Best regards!
Hey Karsten,
That must be the issue. I don’t have those and reached out to our SuperAdmin to change those. Thanks for your help.
Hi @ESvendsen
Could you share a screenshot of the error message and where it occurs?
Is there a litte “i” or “learn more” link, sometimes there is a link out to more information and the actual setting/permission that needs changing, but sometimes there isn’t. So just checking.
The only thing I could think of is that your user doesn’t have the permission to communicate with contacts, but shouldn’t really impact your ability to send/create marketing emails.
