# Expiration of CODE

For the CODE acquired via [Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/oauth2/initiate-oauth-integration) -- whats the expiration?

I am consistently getting “status”:“EXPIRED\_AUTH\_CODE” when trying to get the refresh/access token via [Accounts Dashboard | HubSpot](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/oauth2/get-access-and-refresh-tokens).

In this case, someone else is generating the CODE for me and there might be some delay in my receiving the CODE and my attempting the TOKEN.

Hi [@user201901](https://community.hubspot.com/u/user201901), the auth code has a 10 minutes expiration after it is generated.
