Hello - I have been having trouble with the card scanning in Hubspot App for over a year now. Previously when I would scan a business card the field would auto populate and I could toggle if it was a Mobile or “Phone Number”.. Since about a year ago a change was made where it will only put the number as phone number, which is incorrect. Anyone have this issue? I have no idea why Hubspot would make that change.

Hey @MDeKoeyer,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

I’m not finding any updates to this scanner that would explain this behavior. Just out of curiosity, have you tried deleting the app and re-downloading it to see if this corrects the. behavior?

Hi @MDeKoeyer,

While it doesn’t sound like that would fix it, still, have you gone through these troubleshooting steps? [Troubleshoot the HubSpot mobile app](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account-management/troubleshoot-hubspot-mobile-app)

If the behavior stays the same, you can request from the product team that they change how it works here: [https://community.hubspot.com/c/hubspot-ideas/59](https://community.hubspot.com/c/hubspot-ideas/59)

It’s not always transparent why changes are made, unfortunately.

If you have access to workflows, you could set up a workflow that copies the value from the phone number to mobile phone number for contacts created through the mobile app / business card scanner (record source property).

Best regards

Hey @games,

It looks like you might have tried attaching a screenshot, but I don’t see anything under where you say “I get this.” Can you clarify what you’re seeing?
