Hello People,
I’m seeking your assistance, and I appreciate your help. I’ve developed an independent module for a marketplace. I’ve created a theme and a template for listing purposes, which I’ve used to construct a page. ( In brief, my module and theme are located in separate directories.) Currently, I’m encountering a validation error that pertains to the requirement for standard field names. This raises a couple of concerns for me:

1. Should I make changes to the ‘fields.json’ within the module or the ‘fields.json’ in the theme?
2. When I set inherited values for my two color fields and upload them from my local system to HubSpot, I don’t receive any error messages, yet the issue persists.

Could you kindly provide a detailed explanation of how I can address this issue? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, @JMangukiya 👋 Thanks for your question. Did you get this resolved?

If not, here’s where I’d start:

- Open your module’s `fields.json` file
- Check to ensure you haven’t manually defined any of the standard HubSpot fields
- If so, remove them
- Ensure all your custom field names are unique and not overlapping with standard names

If, after following these steps, you still encounter issues, it might be helpful to provide more specifics or code snippets, so the community can offer more targeted advice.

Thank you! — Jaycee

Hi @JMangukiya This need to done form your local file.

Download your module using hs fetch command

`hs fetch --account=<name> <src> [dest]`

- Select your module
- Open your module’s fields.json file
- Make sure you haven’t manually defined any of the standard HubSpot fields and remove is any
- make sure your custom field names are unique.

For me the issue was for thr color tag and i resolved it by adding _ **theme.primary\_color.color** _ to the fields.json Like this below.

```lia-code-sample
"inherited_value": {
 "default_value_path": "theme.primary_color",
 "property_value_paths": {
 "color": "theme.primary_color.color",
 "opacity": "theme.primary_color.opacity"
 }
 },
```

NOTE: Please note to add watch command

`hs watch --account=<name> <src> <dest>`

or

`hs upload --account=<name> <src> <dest>`

To upload the code to your portal.

Thanks

Hey! It sounds like you’re dealing with a tricky issue. For your first question, you may want to start by checking the fields.json within the module first, since modules generally handle the logic and field structures. However, if that doesn’t resolve the issue, also verify the fields.json in the theme to ensure there are no conflicts between the two.

As for the inherited color fields, even though you’re not getting error messages, it might be worth double-checking if the values are being properly set in the HubSpot interface after upload. Sometimes, changes may not reflect immediately.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details!
