I’m getting the following error in my make.com integration.
[429] You have reached your rate limit.
Based on some the following link, I believe this might be caused by too many users connecting from make.com to Hubspot and not specifically something I’m doing. I’ve already tried to slow down my requests. My requests eventually go through.
For example, the requests worked until it errored out in the morning twice. Then the next couple attempts worked then another error.
Does anyone know anything else I can do?
PLEASE UPVOTE THIS QUESTION IF YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. Hopefully it will get someone’s attention.
Hi, @AroundtheWorld
Quick question. Is this issue persisting today? Or has it self-resolved?
Thank you! — Jaycee
It happens from time to time. Not every day and it seems to resolve itself.
Hi, the error is happening again. Any ideas how to resolve this?
Hi Jaycee, we are also seeing this error. Is there any update or root cause about why this may be happening? It doesn’t look like we are close to our hubspot rate limit
We’ve also been hit with this error a couple of times in the past week. Looking for a way to protect ourselves from this beyond just needing to manually restart it and run our backed up queue in Make when it happens.
We are randomly getting the same issue too. It has started fairly recently and comes up every now and then.
We are seeing the same issue with one of our clients. Same as you with a make.com integration. We have to restart the integration and it works no problem but randomly we will see a 429 error. We have tried to resolve this with a sleep function but that does not seem to help.
Response from Make:
We’ve been investigating this issue and talking to HubSpot about our app’s quotas, and we recently had a surge of errors from customer scenarios that ended up causing our rate limits to be reached.
Unfortunately, we’re still investigating the cause of this surge of errors, so for now, you can create your own Custom OAuth app in HubSpot and connect to it (advanced connection setup) to avoid using our own app’s usage quota, which is shared among all our customers that use the Simple connection setup.
You can find the full guide to creating the advanced connection here. Please pay special attention to steps 2 and 3 as they have their own separate guides you need to follow before proceeding. While this is a bit more complex, the guide details all the steps needed to get this to work, and we’ll be here if you have any issues while following these steps.
I know this is not an ideal solution, and I’m sorry we can’t provide a more definitive and easier fix at the moment. We’ll continue investigating this on our end and talking to HubSpot in the interest of extending our current quota. Unfortunately, this is not just up to us, so as we can’t provide an ETA at the moment, I’d recommend following one of the above suggestions.
Thank you very much for your understanding. We’ll be here if you have any doubts or need further assistance
Recently encountered this error too. Just migrated from Integromat > Make and 429 errors have started popping up. Never had a single 429 error with Integromat.
I’m having the same issue.
My app made 15 requests within 10 seconds, while the limit is 150. the 16th request got 429 and since then all requests take 150 secs to complete
