Looking for tips on calculating rates of engagement in a target list vs contacts who take a specific action. For example:
- Event invitees vs RSVP vs attended
- Target contacts for a cross-channel outbound initiative vs those who engage
Coming from Salesforce, I’d use a campaign for this with different member statuses (target vs responded). Doesn’t appear this functionality exists within Hubspot. Do I need separate lists for targeted vs engaged? How would I compare the two lists against each other (or 3 in the event example) to see % of the group taking X action?
Hi @duncanmcgovern,
You’re correct, there isn’t any obvious way to do this in HubSpot and calculating rates typically requires extra steps. Here are your options:
- [all HubSpot subscriptions] Creating multiple lists and perform the calculation on your own
- [Professional subscriptions] document the goal within a custom property (single checkbox, dropdown) and create a custom report that filters for membership in the target list, then displays in a pie chart how many contacts have the value: Create reports with the custom report builder
- [Enterprise subscriptions] Create a customer journey report to visualize within a flow how many contacts from a target list take certain steps: Create a report with journey analytics
Hope this helps!
