Engagement and reachs

What makes instagram reels work best? putting them on trial or using a good hook? How can I better my scripts? especially in the tech community.

Hi @Bisma! Welcome to the community!

You ask a question that all of us marketers have asked at one time or another. And probably ask ourselves every month.

The algorithms across the social platforms change frequently. What works now might not have as much impact in the coming months. So it’s a constant struggle.

My go-to place for lots of feedback on what’s working on any social platform is Reddit. There’s a channel for every platform and people chatting all the time about what is and is not working for them.

While we do like posting our social posts and managing them via HubSpot, learning what we should post, when and to who is typically research we do off platform.

Hi Bisma,

The Instagram reels algorithm is ruthless about first impressions so the hook wins every time over trial. Tech audiences decide in 1-2 seconds whether to keep watching.

For script: you can try at different scenarios like a problem that is faced commonly and a visual solution (unsure what the tech niche is that you deal with so this is very GENERIC idea).

I have been using hooks that seem to do really well in other niches, my tech niche is basically a startup. but my videos are not regarding that, but rather a much broader audience. What are some great sites to research on hooks?

I agree reddit is THE platform. But for some reason it’s not working for me. I’m not able to share thoughts and stuff there.
