Enabling tracking code for avoiding overwriting of data in non-HubSpot forms

Hi,

I have a question regarding forms that aren’t Hubspot’s own. I need to edit those forms and enable the [Always create contact for new email address] option, but since isn’t from Hubspot it won’t let me.

So i was researching your knowledge base and it recommended that i convert it to a Hubpspot form and then edit that field and then embed the new form that is from Hubspot on my page.

So i ask, is there another way that doesn’t have to convert it to a Hubspot form to edit this field? What is the most recommended?

Hey, @Enielys :waving_hand: Welcome to our community! You’ve touched on a limitation when using 3rd party forms.

Another option is to work with a developer to create a custom form and submit it to a corresponding form in-app.

A simple overview might be:

  • create your custom form and style it
  • create the corresponding form in your HubSpot portal
  • use either the authed (recommended) or the non-auth Forms API endpoint

If you need to stick to sing the non-HubSpot forms option, you’ll be limited to the documented options and limitations listed here – Use non-HubSpot forms.

Best,

Jaycee
