Enable VeriFactu Compliance for Spain - (Mandatory Invoice Reporting System starting July 2025)

Starting July 1st, 2025, Spain will begin the phased rollout of VeriFactu, a mandatory system for real-time electronic invoice reporting to the Spanish Tax Agency.

  • From July 2025, it will apply to businesses under the objective estimation (módulos) regime.
  • From January 1st, 2026, it will extend to SMEs.
  • From July 1st, 2026, it will be mandatory for all self-employed professionals.

This is a legal requirement imposed by the Spanish government, and all electronic invoicing tools used in Spain will need to ensure compatibility with VeriFactu to remain compliant.

As a freelancer and business owner using HubSpot for invoicing, this presents a challenge. Without VeriFactu compliance, we (and many other Spanish users) will be forced to migrate to alternative platforms that support this functionality.

I strongly urge the HubSpot product team to:

  • Consider implementing native support for VeriFactu, or
  • Provide an API or integration path for third-party compliance tools.

This would allow Spanish users to remain fully compliant with tax regulations without having to abandon the HubSpot ecosystem.

Thank you for considering this request — it will become critical for all Spanish-based businesses in the next 12 months.
