# Enable Data Validation Rules for Default HubSpot Properties

The Data Validation rules are a nice touch but the fact they can only be set for custom properties is very limiting. The goal is to let us set character limits and other validations for these properties since they’re often the most used.

This will add a lot of value for integrations where the system being integrated with has some of these hardset validation rules.

The biggest example is the Title property for Contacts. The ERP system we integrate with has a set limit of 40 characters.
