Emails will not sent due to "no subscription consent" even when I manually adjusted all legal basis.

This morning I sent out an email campaign to ± 450 contacts. Only 142 received the email. The other 300 accounts were “no subscription” or hard bounces. The hard bounces ofcourse I can’t fix. But the vast majority were “no subscription”. I searched the community and found a way to add legal basis to those contacts but the emails STILL won’t send out.

Please help

Hi @BVanderaerden,

Was the “no subscription” an error message or notice that you saw somewhere?

For each email, you can click on the Recipients tab and you should see an overview of Sent, Delivered, … and Not sent. When you select Not sent, what information is logged here?

How did you update the subscription? Could you confirm that you updated the opt status for the same subscription that is selected in the Settings tab of the email and not accidentally another subscription type?

Another option is that you accidentally suppressed graymail, could you double check?

Best regards!

Hi Karsten,

Thanks for the quick reply.

The “no subscription” was a notice that I saw in the “recipients” tab of the email campaign.

I updated the subscription following the steps in this link: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/how-can-i-track-lawful-basis-of-processing-in-hubspot I followed the steps for “bulk”

Hi @BVanderaerden,

You updated the legal basis for processing data, not the legal basis for marketing communication (= subscription types). This right here would be the correct knowledgebase article.

Hope this helps!
