# Emails from contacts

Hello!

I have a doubt regarding emails. Every time I send an email to one of theh contacts we have registred in our CRM it appears tracked on the contact details information. However, when one of those contacts sends me an email, which is not part of a thread I started, then this first email doesn’t appear registred in their contacts information. Is there a way of seeing those emails by everyone in the team and linked to thheir respective contacts without being a team email?

Hi @EulaliaRibera,

This is expected behavior in HubSpot. For an email to be logged, it must be a reply, see the requirements for email logging here: [Understand reply-only email logging rules](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/log-email-replies-in-the-crm#requirements-for-a-reply-to-log)

If you want to log the first email you receive from a contact before replying, you would have to use the forwarding email address in your email client: [Log email in your CRM with the BCC or forwarding address](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/log-email-in-your-crm-with-the-bcc-or-forwarding-address#use-the-forwarding-address)

It’s not possible to automatically log the first email.
