Not sure why but my emails are not being opened anymore. Did hubspot change something? I haven’t changed anything

Hi @Shaynaleh97,

Could you please share a bit more context?

- What was your open rate before? What was the number of sent and opened emails?
- Is it 0 now or simply lower?
- When did you notice the change?
- Which HubSpot subscription level are you on?
- Is your email domain fully authenticated? [Manage your email authentication](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot)

Best regards

Actually I did a test and it went to spam when I sent it to myself. My friends also use hubspot and their emails go to spam too. I’ve looked into how to make it not go to spam but I haven’t figured out how without paying to link a different domain. I have the free version. Is there anything I can do that’s free?

@Shaynaleh97 emails going to spam and emails not being opened are different things.

If emails are going to spam, then the main reason is missing authentication: [Manage your email authentication](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot) - and no, this is unfortunately not possible in the free tools. It requires upgrading to one of the subscriptions mentioned at the beginning of the article.
