# Email Tracking w/ Multiple Recipients

I sent an email to multiple recipients. As expected, it shows in the Hub that it was sent. A few hours later, it shows that it was opened. How can I determine which of the email recipients opened the message? I looked throughout each of the contacts and I cannot determine which recipient opened it.

Hi @jimprvym,

You can’t, unfortunately.. HubSpot’s email tracking is revolving around an invisible pixel, see here: [Understand HubSpot Sales email open and click tracking | Knowledge Base](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/understand-hubspot-sales-email-open-and-click-tracking)

This pixel doesn’t know by whom it is loaded. It just knows that it is loaded.
