# email tracking is not shown

Hi,  
I’ve just registered in hubspot, connected my email, and wanted to test the email tracking feature, however, it doesn’t appear in the UI. I sent email to my other mailbox and already opened it. Tried several time. No tracking info at hubspot.

Please advice.

Hi @postullat21

I see you tagged this post with “marketing email". Based on the screenshot, it looks like you send a normal email, so email marketing tracking won’t be available.

If you are sending “normal” emails via HubSpot, these will automatically be tracked.

If you are sending emails through one the [HubSpot Sales Extension](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/how-to-install-hubspot-sales), you will see the option to log and/or track when creating an email (see example of the Gmail extension below).

Tracking is based on an “invisible” pixel being loaded, some reasons why tracking isn’t properly reported can be:

- The recipient formats their email in plain text.
- The recipient’s email client doesn’t automatically download images.
- The recipient’s corporate filter strips away all images for incoming emails.
- The recipient’s installed a firewall/Ad Block/Ad Blocker that blocks images to load

I’ve added extension to gmail, sent email to my another account and opened it

Where I have to check that email was opened?
