Hey there!
Is there a smart way to get a report on if an email has been sent after the first meeting has happened? I’ve created a report, but only managed to build it based on 1st meeting date and last activity - however I cannot see if that email has been sent after or before the meeting (in hours/ time). Any suggestions?
Hi @LH3, I hope that you are well!
Sorry for the delay in the response. Thank you for asking the Community!
What are you trying to achieve with the report, please? Do you want to make sure that a follow up email has been sent after the meeting? Or do you want to see how many follow up emails have been sent actually after meetings and when?
If you want to make sure to each time a meeting has taken place, a follow up email is sent, then you could use workflows to automate this.
If you’d like to see how many emails have been sent after meetings, then you’d need a sales email reporting.
I have found for you this similar post “Meeting Follow Up Time Report” with the solution from @karstenkoehler that might be of interest.
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @johnelmer, @BukunmiOdetayo and @GCasali do you have suggestions to help @LH3, please?
Also, if anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation ![]()
Thanks so much and have a brilliant day!
Best,

As far as I know, HubSpot’s standard reporting doesn’t directly show whether an email was sent after a meeting. However, you can approximate this by creating a custom report that includes both meeting and email activities. By analyzing the timestamps, you can infer the sequence of events.
For a more precise solution, consider using the Customer Journey Reports feature available in HubSpot’s Enterprise plans. This tool allows you to define specific steps in a customer’s journey, such as “meeting occurred” followed by “email sent.” By setting these steps, you can visualize and analyze the exact sequence of interactions. For more details on setting up customer journey reports, refer to HubSpot’s Knowledge Base: Customer journey report steps and filters.(HubSpot Knowledge Base)
If you’re not on an Enterprise plan or need a more straightforward approach, you might consider automating the follow-up process. By setting up a workflow that triggers a follow-up email after a meeting is logged, you can ensure timely communication without manual tracking. This method also simplifies reporting, as you can monitor the workflow’s performance directly.
Hope it helps!
