Email placeholders as a template in a workflow

Is there a way to add a email placeholder into a templated workflow to build out an entire campaign in advance and be able to turn it on without all the emails being built yet?

We previously made a placeholder email and plugged it into relevant slots to do this but it was publishing in the background because we had to publish the placeholder email in oder to turn the workflow on.

Hi @RBoucher,

No, that’s not possible. All steps in workflows must be finalized before it can be published, including publishing automated emails.

You can publish an email that’s not fully finalized (e.g. unfinished copy), but it has to be published.
