I have been recently having problems with emails “from” information displaying correctly after sent. All our settings are the same and we have been using Hubspot email for two years. I have selected in email settings for it to be from our “Business Name” and owner email. But when it is sent it says name…@…hs-send.com. Which obviously looks like spam and has a way lower open rate.
This has happened for the past week, except on this Monday it worked fine and showed our Business name as usual. However today it is back to how it was this past Friday. We are curious if it is no longer a feature on the “free” version. If not we are considering possibly moving to constant contact or mailchimp.
@natldc with the recent changes required by Google and Yahoo, HubSpot implemented changes to the email sending configuration (to make sure it complies with SPF requirements, as well as DMARC/DKIM).
As a free email user, you can’t configure an email sending domain - so if HubSpot continues to send emails on your behalf, it would be missing the necessary information to validate your domain.
With the changes to HubSpot’s pricing, you can now get Marketing Starter at just $15/mo which is on-par or less than what you pay using MailChimp or Constant Contact depending on your email volume, etc.
