We are new to HS and currently creating our marketing emails in Outlook but when we copy / paste into HubSpot we lose all of the formatting. Guessing this is HTML related, but is there a work around or preferred text editor to use that will translate better into Hubspot. When the text is copied into HS it is always grey instead of black, does not honor italics / bold or support highlighting, etc.. Often Hubspot does not allow us to bold or unbold text - just basic functions of a text editor seem to be non-existent in HubSpot or corrupt. Any thoughts as this seems like fairly basic functionality. Thank you

I would recommend creating the emails directly into HubSpot, why do they need to be made elsewhere then copied in?

The bold issue in the email editor is a bug, I’ve been seeing it recently. If you refresh the page it usually works after a few tries.

Hey there [@Christian\_Zak](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1048716), and thank you for posting your question! (and thank you @HubSpotHannah!)

I want to share a couple of Community threads that address this exact behavior:

Hey @evaelfie5091 ,
You can use the add-in to help with logging the sales emails and to bring certain details and tools from HubSpot into Outlook

I would recommend creating Marketing emails (or, in other words, all emails located under Marketing → Email in the menu) directly in the HubSpot editor. There’s more to this editor than just rich text - it’s more like a Landing Page editor, so you have more styling options for each element you add. Check out [this article](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/create-and-send-marketing-emails) about drag and drop editor for more details and I believe [this one](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/edit-marketing-email-content-and-design) and [this one](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/save-marketing-emails-as-templates) should also be helpful.
