Email Ending in spam in Outlook

We have started a Email Campaign on Hubspot, but the mails we are sendingare landing in Spam Folder of Outlook Account. In Gmail they are landing in Primary Inbox. We also tried sending the mails to other Outlook email, but it keep landing in spam folder. We tried sending mails which include text of only few words and still got no luck.

Can anyone please help us in this.

Hi @MGrover,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

There are a few steps you can take to help your marketing emails make it to inboxes instead of the spam folder.

One thing worth noting is that ESPs (email-marketing service providers, i.e HubSpot) do not have control over where your emails land once they’ve been sent. A number of factors affect inbox placement, primarily your sender reputation. Following email deliverability best practices will go a long way in building up your reputation!

The first thing I would suggest is to make sure you have your email sending domain (DKIM) connected.

If you want to send marketing emails from your own domain, such as info@yourdomain.com, you can connect your email sending domain to HubSpot. This will give HubSpot permission to send emails on your behalf by connecting an email sending domain for DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) email authentication.
Connecting your email sending domain will help prevent your marketing emails from getting caught in spam filters, and will also remove the via HubSpot text that appears in the sender information at the top of your marketing emails.

It is important to note that all test emails are sent from noreply@hubspot.com, to protect your email deliverability rates. But when you send the email to your contacts, it will be sent with the From name and From address you’ve specified. To help these emails reach your inbox, try allowlisting those addresses and HubSpot’s sending IPs. It would also help to mark those emails as not spam in your email account. Hi - where do SPAM emails that have been marked as NOT SPAM go? They didn’t show up in Unassigned Inbox after I did that!

Hi @MGrover ,

Each email provider has its own set of rules for determining whether or not an email message is a spam. In Outlook, If an email comes from a domain that fails authentication, it will be routed to the Junk folder. For instance, if your recipient’s email server is unable to verify that your email was delivered via a secure connection. It can happen in Outlook as a security measure to prevent spamming.

Hope this helps!
