Eliminating Workflow Tasks from the Hubt Tasks View

Wondering if there is a way to get rid of workflow tasks for the Tasks View, leaving only the tasks that I manually enter. The reason is that I work on many tickets in many pipelines, and those tickets stay open for awhile. And if you are the owner of the ticket, the workflow associated tasks will populate your Tasks View. This may make sense for some organizations, but for me and others, we have many tickets with 2-6 tasks open. And really we just want to have a kind of master task or 2 with a date in the title or whatever makes sense. I might have 10 tasks I manually entered for a pipeline, but I’m overwhelmed with 5X as many automated tasks, or more. This is happening to a lot of us. The tasks will actually show up through our email and exist on the ticket, so they still serve a purpose. For me, the tasks are procedures when a ticket is ready to be worked on. But they don’t help as a reminder - and before we can even do the tasks.

Thanks!

Hi @deegeetee,

There currently isn’t any way to filter tasks by the tool / user they were created by. However, you could leverage any of the other filters available.

Here are three options that I see as workarounds. You could either use the Priority field to label all workflow tasks as ‘Low’. Not correct but then allowing for easy filtering, unless the field is used for other purposes.

Or you could come up with a naming convention for tasks not created by workflows and tasks created by workflows. The search field lets you pre-filter all tasks so that you only see those tasks that you’re interested in. It’s a matter of defining a good taxonomy / naming convention.

Lastly, tasks created by workflows and tasks not created by workflow could be moved to a specific task queues, requiring paid seats however: Use task queues

Hope this helps!
