# Editing fields directly in table reports

Having the ability to edit fields directly from a table report.

Current state: we have to click on the record, find the field and edit.

Ideal state: When on a dashboard, when viewing any table report, we could edit any value field in any column direclty from the report view.

Impact:

- better user experience staying in one dashboard/report

- time saved clicking through records and tabs

- easier enablement and adoption of hubspot dashboards/reports
