Edit Saved Section and Global Update them

+1 this would be a huge help.

Eloqua for example has this feature and it very powerful. It also allows you to build dynamic content. For example, in Eloqua we build document download modules for emails. The same module can be in 100 different emails in different stages of lead flow. We can easily test different content, because we just need to make change in the globally shared module.

PLEASE ADD THIS!

April '23. Why isn’t this implemented yet? It’s a no-brainer and huge hassle right now when having to update a section that is already in use on multiple landing pages,

@hubspot Any chance we can work this feature into the 2025 roadmap? Major time suck for us and our clients. WordPress page builders offer this feature out of the box, and this creates some friction in the migration conversation.

Agreed. I was looking for how to do this and stumbled on this. Saving sections is great, but really suffers from having to do updates. +1

+1 Upvote! This is essential!

Product and customer success teams, I hope you are listening. When I share ideas with support, I’m always told to post them to the “Ideas” board. I have stopped posting here. This thread is 2 years old. There are no updates or acknowledgments. I get it, this is a complex product. There are only so many enhancements that can be made per year. But having even a rudimentary CMS is core to any web platform. This is one of the most basic features and obviously lots of need as you can see here. This is one of dozens of examples of core features missing that have been on this board.
I want to stress again, I understand you can’t do them all. But when you tell your customers to post here, then completely ignore them for 3 to 5 years, it’s frustrating. Providing acknowledgment would go a long way.

It has been years now - with now update.
@hubspot Is this on the roadmap?

Yes please @hubspot - for email as well as web pages! I’m baffled as to why this isn’t the case already… Surely the whole point of having saved sections is to update them once and have the changes reflect across all the places where they’re used? I have 50 or so automated emails that all have a global email footer or signature, but if I want to update it, I have to do every email individually… What a waste of time!

+1 we really need the feature. This is causing some massive headaches manually editing all of our content using the same saved section.

@hubspot let’s make this happen please

Hi everyone! My name is Hallie, and I’m a Program Manager on our CXM Team. I wanted to share an update and note that while this isn’t currently on the roadmap for 2025, this is something the product team is aware of and thinking about for the future. In the meantime, one workaround they want to share is to use our Content Embeds feature, because they are centrally managed and a change to an embed in one place makes it change everywhere.

We’ll update this post again if other updates on this feature request arise. Thanks for your patience and we hope the workaround can be helpful in the meantime!

Content embeds seem interesting but it looks like this is just for websites, what about adding globally saved sections to emails? Also, this is only for orgs with Content Hub Professional so those without it are still searching for a solution here

Can content embeds be used in native Hubspot pages? The example video only shows it for use in Wordpress.

@SNorton5 Yes they can be added to HubSpot pages! Instructions are under the “Embed Content in HubSpot” section in this article. Just a quick heads up that the experience for how Embeds are added to a page is in the process of being changed for all users so the screenshots in that article might not reflect what you see in your portal. I just record a quick gif showing the experience you should actually see in that case! Let me know if you have any questions!

Need this for marketing emails! Currently if you want to test different banners in the footer of emails, you have to edit the emails one by one which is a nuisance for a big email automation setup.

Hey @hubspot and @hhiggins

This would be a small but very impactful feature to solve better for Clients; particularly in scenarios when email-based nurture marketing campaigns are Evergreen/‘always on’ and may need small changes/updates annually, but across hundreds of emails can be very time consuming to update.

We’ve looked to proactively circumnavigate this issue by building out saved sections that house CTAs; so, we can centrally deploy changes to the CTA’s without needing to create a net new saved section everytime there is a change to a key image, or key text, that we know might change in the future. An example here is a saved section that houses an image of a Handbook that gets refereshed every year; because we know this may potentially change, this is built into the saved section as a CTA. The one change to the global CTA will then update every email built in the past with that CTA. → Hoping this may help any other users struggling with this same issue somewhat.

Where this comes solution doesn’t work/gets undone is when there is a required shift in the look and feel of the saved section e.g. change of background colour/change of formatting; that cannot be managed via global CTA deployment.

Content Embeds look like they will solve well for websites: excellent work, team! It would be great to get a similar solution place for eDMs.

Thank you

This would be huge for us. We have a 30 or so co-branded pages for our partners that all use the same content. I went down a rabbit hole to try and customize the page template to be able to make edits across all those pages, and I unfortunately learned that once a page template is used, it’s a static page and can’t be mass edited beyond global objects like headers and footers. In addition, in order to create a logo slider that’s used across the site, I had to create a global module BY HAND – why this is not easier, I also don’t understand – which also prevents any updates to the module settings and capabilities when our theme has a new update. It would be amazing if there would be a way to EASILY create both Global Sections and Global Modules without custom code in the Design Manager.

Urgently needed!! Any updates on this? @hhiggins @hubspot
