I would like to offer the suggestion that a quote template be able to be edited each time (thus the word “template”). Right now as you build a quote the option is there to add Comments to Buyer and Purchase Terms, but those go nowhere and are not added to the quote. It is also very deceiving as the sales person is led to believe the info they added has been included on the quote.
I had this issue when creating customer templates. What happened is that you didn’t put the tokens into the comment and terms sections. For instance, int he terms section, yiu need to add the Terms token. What this does sis populate the terms with anything the user types like you are saying.
Don’t work for Hubspot, but happy to help a fellow user if you wish to do a quick Zoom.
Quote templates are pretty good, but the Quote wizard for creating an individual quote off a template needs a lot of work… Right now there’s no way for a salesperson to have Quote tokens other than the Comments and Terms.
Some businesses need to put in a lot more details into a quote than just some free text comments and terms. Right now the only way for a salesperson to put in anything variable on a per-quote basis is through objects associated to the quote, like the deal or associated company, contact, etc. But this way of working makes no sense to the quote building experience, because it happens outside of the Quote wizard.
Hi all! I am the product manager for Commerce Hub Quotes and am happy to mark this request as delivered! We’ve added the ability for quotes to use templates and be edited on a per-quote basis as part of HubSpot’s CPQ tools. Try it out and let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions for further improvement.
