# Edit Incoming Blog Comments

It would be nice to have the ability to edit incoming blog comments as opposed to just being able to accept, reject, delete, or mark them for spam.

Why?

We’ve seen an influx of commenters taking the time to write legitimate comments, but then inserting some form of self-promotion along with the comment. Dismissing the comment in total feels like a waste of great insights, but we don’t want to have obviously self-promotional links included within our blog.

Agreed! Having some functionality, such as removing links might be helpful. Certainly understand preventing the ability to manipulate comments entirely, but being able to remove links could certainly be beneficial in cases like this!
