So, I am new to hubspot and wanted to edit our company’s blog listing template. I wanted to know where I can get started as I am a web developer with no knowledge in python jinja.

I also wanted to know that how do you get value in hubspot or {{ value }} (value that you put in 2 curly baces). Like if I have a form and I want to manipulate it, how to know what to put inside {{ }} here ?

Asking this because I might need something related to blog post to put in {{ }}.

You don’t need any knowledge of jinja or python to build a HS template. You should browse through the [HUBL documentation](https://designers.hubspot.com/docs/hubl/hubl-supported-tags) and get started there or take the [design course offered by HubSpot](https://academy.hubspot.com/courses/hubspot-design). The templating language for HS is much simpler than python, It’s similar to the liquid markup that shopify uses (but more robust).

As an example: I used [this tool](http://www.belch.io) to generate and publish an LP and then went to the design manager to inspect the code and see how it was done. If you match the markup in the template with the [HUBL documentation](https://designers.hubspot.com/docs/hubl/hubl-supported-tags), it should start to lead you down the right path.

Here’s an example [coded file](https://pastebin.com/atpUgYUR)

To answer your more specific question about the dbl curly braces, when you add the export\_to\_template\_context flag, it will be stored in the widget\_data json object

```auto
 export_to_template_context="true"
{% textarea "custom_js_code" label='Custom JS values' no_wrapper="true" export_to_template_context="true" %}
```

When you are previewing a landing page built off of a coded file, in the top right of the page you will see a hubspot logo, if you click that, and then click developer info, you can see the raw data available to the page or template.

Thank you for the reply, I am able to make landing pages but I think blog listing template is a different game because you have blogs listed and you fill out the blog in hubspot. So you go to marketing \> website \> blog then I chose In-line option and then put in the content.

But blog template listing where all blogs are getting listed. This is my companies current blog [https://www.romanoatlaw.com/blog](https://www.romanoatlaw.com/blog)

and I want something like this : [https://nycda.com/blog](https://nycda.com/blog)

Since you’re a developer, it’s really simpler than you think. You just need an html template that looks similar to the grid in the link you supplied, and then you wrap the blog posts in

```auto
{% for content in contents %}
 <div class="post-item"> <h3>{{ content.name }}</h3>
 Post item markup that renders with each iteration.
 </div>
{% endfor %}
```

Then you can use any [number of variables that HS provides for you](https://designers.hubspot.com/docs/hubl/hubl-supported-variables) to use within and outside of your loop.
